A graveside service offers a simple and heartfelt farewell, surrounded by nature.
Family and friends gather at the cemetery, where the service is led by a celebrant, minister, or someone close to you. It may be quiet and reflective, or include shared memories, readings, and music.
As the coffin is gently lowered, loved ones may place a flower or scatter petals — a simple yet deeply meaningful gesture of love and remembrance.
Afterwards, some families choose to gather for refreshments, allowing time to connect and support one another.

Our Funeral Service fee includes:
- 24-hour service with our care and support
- Rainbow Funerals Planner will meet with your family in your home and arrange the appropriate funeral service
- Arranging Transfer of your loved one into our care
- Gentle Mortuary Care and Dressing
- Administration work including:
- Cemetery and funeral documentation,
- Liaising with all necessary cemetery staff / doctor / medical personnel / coroner / Centrelink / Medicare / coffin manufacturer / priest/celebrant / funeral stationary / music preparation for graveside service and any other necessary third-party request
- Applying for registration of the registered Death Certificate with Births Deaths & Marriages
- Attendance with hearse and staff during the funeral service
- Care and responsibility taken at all times

- Interment fees – Springvale/Bunurong Cemeteries
- Adult 1st interment $1,690.00
- Adult 2nd interment $ 2,070.00
- Adult 3rd interment $ 2,650.00

Burial with Service (Church or Venue) followed by a Burial at the cemetery – $5,660.00
A Traditional or Personalised Farewell
This option brings together a service and a burial, offering time and space for a more structured farewell.
Traditionally, the service is held in a church or chapel. Today, many families choose a more personal setting — a home, garden, or venue that reflects the life being honoured.
Following the service, family and friends travel together to the cemetery for the final farewell at the graveside. Music, words, and shared moments can be woven throughout both parts of the service, creating a meaningful and connected experience.
Afterwards, you may choose to gather for refreshments, continuing the support and connection with those around you.
